More Changes

Sunday, April 19, 2009:

Good News today! I was finally able to get myself a new laptop packed with fun toys to help me pimp out the site. I've been spending a large majority of the last week teaching myself the ins and outs of web design and publishing using a combination of Fireworks, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and CSSEdit. That may sound complicated and a bit obsessive, but I want to make sure that the site not only looks good, but is also accessible and web standards compliant. Regardless, With an abundance of resources at my fingertops, the site overhaul should be finished in no time. As you may have noticed, the homepage is just about done. All that's left is to drop in the site navigation below the header. After that, I'll be going back and making final adjustments to the review template so that the current batch of reviews can all be updated. The final step in the process will be creating the new index pages for the About, Reviews, Content, and Links portals. I'm hoping to have all of this completed by the time May rolls around.

With the overhual wrapped up, I'll be able to once again start developing some new content that I hope you all will really enjoy. I thank those of you who have stuck with me through this long period of inactivity. I promise I'll do my best to make it worth the wait. Feel free to drop me an email and let me know what you think about the changes! More to come very soon.

Review Progress Update #2

Tuesday, March 31, 2009:

I've re-established the link to the Ninja Gaiden review. It's not quite done yet, but I'm almost there. Check it out if you're curious to see how they will be laid out post-CSS overhaul. If you've got any comments or suggestions, shoot me an email.

Review Progress Update

Saturday, March 21, 2009:

After hitting a few initial snags, the review layout overhaul is now moving along nicely. This CSS stuff is a bit tricky, but I'm getting the hang of it pretty quickly and I think these changes will make the site much more visually appealing and accessible. I hope to be done reformatting Ninja Gaiden within the next few days. Once I've got that first one knocked out, having a layout framework in place will allow me to update the remaining reviews in no time. More updates to come soon.

Review Overhauls Have Begun

Tuesday, March 17, 2009:

First off, happy St. Patrick's Day! In case you were wondering, 25% of me is celebrating my heritage today. Unfortunately, having to work early in the morning tomorrow means no partying for this partly Irish young man. Anyway, on to the update. Expect a few more changes to the home page before all is said and done. I've also started work on updating all of the reviews. Unfortunately, this means that the Ninja Gaiden review will be offline for a short time will I work out the kinks. I hope you like what you're seeing so far!
